about

Placement: Marine Africa

'Overflights and remote landings amongst the great continent's myriad water systems'.

This album celebrates Africa's wondrous rivers, lakes, deltas, coasts and swamplands as seen from both the skimming flights of a light aircraft and in more landed and intimate detail. The tracks reflecting the variety of landscapes, while collectively lending a much broader continental overview, from a muddy water hole to the Cape.

Note: Although the term 'marine' is more properly taken to relate exclusively to the sea, here for reasons of brevity and a little poetic licence, Placement use it to indicate all aquatic environments, be they freshwater, coastal or brackish.

Extra tracks;

17. Threading Warm Deltas
18. Refraction In Tropical Clouds

These previously unreleased tracks were made during the original Marine Africa sessions and are exclusive to this Lime Green Yellow edition.

Total running time; 49:42
